Meet our team of dentists and dental professionals devoted to the smiles of Edmonton.
Dr Dallin Evanson, DMD, has joined the team at Scotia Square Dental! Dr. Evanson is originally from Taber, Alberta and is married with three teenage boys.
He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Lethbridge majoring in Neuroscience and received his BSc and graduated with Great Distinction. He then moved to Winnipeg where he attended the University of Manitoba Dental School.
While attending Dental School, Dr. Evanson received awards for his outstanding work with children and his compassionate care of patients. He has now been treating patients for 10+ years.
Dr. Evanson enjoys working with children and has experience relating to and working with children with disabilities. This has come from raising a son who is both blind and autistic. This has given Dr. Evanson the compassion and ability to help other children who are autistic or who have other disabilities. Dr. Evanson is also skilled at diagnosing and treating TMJ joint pain as well as sleep apnea and has a special passion for orthodontics.
In his spare time Dr. Evanson enjoys heading to the mountains with his boys to go skiing and snowboarding. He also loves music and enjoys both playing instruments and singing. His wife is hard at work raising their wonderful boys, and runs a soap making business.
Dr. Tammarie Heit is born and raised in Edmonton and was a nurse for 10 years before her career as a dentist.
Dr. Heit has been a general dentist for 23 years treating patients and families of all ages and was the founder of Scotia Square Dentistry which has existed for 16 years in the heart of Edmonton.
Dr. Heit loves being a general dentist and has a special passion for the diagnosis and treatment of complex dental cases of craniofacilha pain, TMJ disorders and Obstructive Sleep Apnea.
She works with a team of specialists in both dentistry and medicine to help her patients with a collaborative, multidisciplinary and natural solution to this issues to try to optimize their situation.
She truly is a nurse-dentist.
She was longtime past president of The Multidisciplinary Association for The Study of Cranio-Cervical Pain in Edmonton, member of the Canadian and Alberta Dental Associations, has a mastership at the International College of Craniomandibular Orthopedics and is on The Clinical Advisory Board and Clinical Advisor for Vivos Therapeutics. She is passionate and active with medicine in advancing research and publication to help improve dentistry protocols and practices to improve treatment outcomes for patients.
Dr. Heit loves working and teaching with her colleagues and believes that all dentists and medical doctors are special people that love to help their patients.
Dr. Heit is married with two teenage children with almost all of her extended family here in Edmonton. She loves sports and is the team dentist for The Edmonton Eskimos. In her spare time, she is active with her family and friends and loves music and theatre.
