Early November 2010, Christen and Tanis attended a 2 day Dental Implant Module at the University of Alberta where they were updated on the most current techniques and steriliziation procedures.

Epigenetic Orthodontics

Recently Dr. Heit and Helen had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Dave Singh DDS PhD BDS,founder of the
field of epigenetic orthodontics in San Jose, CA. They attended a 3 day seminar on epigenetic
orthodontics presented by Dr. Singh and had the great opportunity to meet with other
collegues from Canada and US.
In 2009, the team at Scotia Square Dentistry had the opportunity to travel to Denver, Colorado to witness
Dr. Heit recieve her Mastership at the ICCMO conference.
Dr. Heit was one of three members of ICCMO to attain the distinguished credential of
Mastership in 2009, following her Fellowship.
Dr. Heit also attended the 15th International Congress of the International College of Cranio-
Mandibular Orthopedics (ICCMO) in Fukuoka, Japan on November 14-15, 2009.
ICCMO is a society of health care professionals with a common interest in the etiologic role of orthopedic deformities as related to the various symptoms of head and neck pain and dysfunction. The College is a worldwide organization that fosters an exchange of knowledge among those engaging in dentistry, medicine and collateral health care professionals.
